Anheuser-Busch taps into the huge scale of Yahoo! football, music and celebrity fans with sponsorship of live show

Visit the Bud Light HotelA hotel named after a beer sounds like accommodations that Homer Simpson might dream about, but for those in Indianapolis for Super Bowl LXVI, it’s a reality. And when that beer company works with Yahoo! to sponsor the webcast of a free concert and other Big Game content on omg!, well, that’s a co-branding brew that goes down cold and smooth.

Bud Light, the official beer sponsor of the NFL, is taking up residence this week in downtown Indy with the return of the Bud Light Hotel. And even though most fans can’t be there in person, they’ll still be able to drink in the atmosphere by watching a live concert on Yahoo! featuring 50 Cent, Pitbull and Lil Jon, which is taking place at the hotel at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday night. In our book, that’s better than “OK!”.

As the exclusive Bud Light Hotel broadcast partner, Yahoo! will be streaming the concert live on omg!, the #1 celebrity news site, potentially reaching more than 31 million fans with Bud Light’s brand messaging. Fans around the world can catch the show at omg!’s Super Bowl Party Central site. The concert will also be available on Yahoo! Screen, Yahoo!’s recently launched video destination site.

In addition to live-streaming the concert, Yahoo! Sports and omg! will feature daily coverage from the Bud Light Hotel, including “blue carpet” celebrity interviews, celebrity predictions, an omg! photo gallery collection, and coverage of all the parties throughout the weekend.

From the Clinton Foundation Concert to “Electric City” to this week’s premier Super Bowl concert sponsored by Bud Light, Yahoo! provides its users with the best content online. And the year is just beginning: We have many more big-event opportunities (the 2012 Summer Olympics, elections, etc.) for advertisers to be a part of…for details, contact your Yahoo! account manager.
